Social Afforestation Program
BEDO started Social Afforestation Program at Naogaon in 1994 with a view to preserve environment through increasing forest resources by planting more trees in households and roadsides. Under this program, a nursery was established from where different types of seedlings were distributed among the group members and poor villagers at almost no cost. Awareness campaigns also arranged to motivate community people towards social afforestation to preserve the existing forest resources.
