Promoting Child Rights Program

The children from low-income families are deprived of basic needs, which are their fundamental rights. The children are abused in many ways, such as they are forced to involve in a variety of low paid or unpaid jobs due to poverty. The girl children are the worst sufferers in the families. They do not get basic education, nutritious food, healthcare and sympathy from the family. They are often sexually abused which eventually creates permanent physical and psychological adverse effect in their life.

BEDO has undertaken promoting child rights program both for the members of the micro-credit project in Naogaon district and rickshaw drivers project of Dhaka city. BEDO carried out this program with its own initiatives.
