Food and Livelihood Security (FLS) Program
Pazilas of Naogaon district since February 2012. The Department of Women Affairs under Ministry of Women and Children Affairs is the contracting authority, while the European Union is the financing authority of the project. ASOD is implementing the project in Mohadebpur, Patnitala and Porsha upazilas and BEDO is implementing the project in Badalgachhi, Dhamuirhat and Shapahar upazilas. The beneficiaries of the project are 5,000 ultra poor women and 3,000 marginal farmers and sharecroppers.

The major activities of the project are imparting training to the beneficiaries on social, health issues and income generation. All beneficiaries to provided Tk. 400/- per month as subsistence allowance for the period of 20 months. After imparting training the ultra poor women beneficiaries to provide with Tk. 1,000/- to buy homestead gardening inputs to produce fruits and vegetables from homestead farming. Each of the marginal farmers and sharecroppers to provide with Tk. 4,100/- to buy agricultural inputs. Moreover, each ultra poor woman will be provided with Tk. 14,500/- for purchasing productive assets to generate income. On the other hand, each marginal farmer and sharecroppers to provide with Tk. 6,500/- for the same purpose.
- Total Tk. 4,82,46,800/- subsistence allowance distributed (cash) among 7989 beneficiaries of respective working upazilas.
- 4,205 ultra poor women received Tk. 14,500/- each for purchasing productive asset for conducting their IGA activity after completing IGA training.
- 2730 marginal farmers and sharecropper received 6,500/- each as cash grant for increase productivity and revenue level of them.
- 3270 marginal farmers and sharecropper received 4,100/- each as cash grant for increase productivity.
- The ultra poor women and farmers received all amount in their individual bank accounts.
- 5000 ultra poor women received Tk. 1,000/- each as cash input after received training on homestead gardening.
- to 10899 ultra poor women headed households amounting to BDT 1000/ beneficiary.
- Training provided to 7948 ultra poor women and marginal farmers/sharecroppers on health, hygiene, water, sanitation and nutrition for fill the lack of knowledge, awareness and correct practices.
- Organized 4,225 sessions with marginal farmers and sharecroppers in Farmers Field School (FFS).
- Organized training on High Value Crops (HVC) Cultivation for marginal farmers and sharecroppers.
- Organized training on Self Help Group (SHG).
- Organized 8126 awareness session on social and cross-cutting issue with ultra poor women and marginal farmers/sharecroppers
- Linkage with agriculture and legal service providers at local level and assistance for market linkage services.
